6.4L Hemi-Powered Jeep with Overland Trailer
Engine upgrades are nothing new to our Customs shop here at Starwood Motors. Take for instance this Jeep Wrangler JL we installed a 6.4L Hemi engine in. The owner, who owns a massive piece of property in the back-country of Montana, wanted to have enough power in his highly built Wrangler to be able to tackle any area of that land. Along with the upgrade in engine, we also added King shocks with reservoirs to a Readylift lift kit and stuffed 40″ Mickey Thompson tires around 17″ Fuel Off-Road wheels. Road Armor Fenders with fender liners were included for additional protection as well as Fab Fours front and rear bumpers along with Warn winch and recovery system. Rigid Industries lighting is found throughout the vehicle in the form of 2×2 LED duallys both in the front bumper and stacked on the A-pillars. As with most of the off-road vehicles we get our hands on, this Jeep is finished in Starwood Motors Gobi Tan Signature Finish with the top in contrasting Satin Black.
If you know anything about Starood, you’ll think all that listed above is pretty standard….which is true. But this particular job got something a little different; a custom built overland style trailer! Color matched to the Wrangler itself, this trailer is complete with 37/13.5/R20 Nitto Mud Grappler tires and fender flares. Uses for this accessory could involve packing supplies in and out of tough terrain or bringing tools along for recovery of vehicles that may be in need of service. We also constructed this trailer with overall weight in mind; attaching is a breeze using the Jeeps standard hitch and easy enough for 1 person to remove and store.
